Philippine president declares state of emergency in the wake of Typhoon Kalmaegi

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. declared a state of emergency on Thursday after Typhoon Kalmaegi left at least 114 people dead and hundreds missing in the country’s central provinces in what is the deadliest natural disaster to strike the Philippines this year.
