The host of the COP30 climate summit Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and French President Emmanuel Macron both warned against climate disinformation as world leaders gathered ahead of the annual UN Conference of Parties climate negotiations that open next week. A tough sell when one of the world's largest carbon emitters, US President Donald Trump, is the source of that disinformation - calling climate change a hoax and a "con job".
