The golden toilet is back in the spotlight. Cast in solid 18-karat gold and titled America, the sculpture will be exhibited at Sotheby’s Breuer Building in New York before going to auction on November 18.

The 100-kilogram artwork was first unveiled at the Guggenheim Museum, where it became a global sensation, and later gained notoriety when another version was stolen from Blenheim Palace in 2019.

This final edition now goes under the hammer with a starting bid of around $10 million.
