Early Nowruz celebrations begin in Kazakh region of Mangistau

As March begins, Turkic nations prepare to celebrate Nowruz, the traditional New Year marking winter’s end.

In western Kazakhstan’s Mangistau region, locals have already gathered in yurts and around ancestral mausoleums to welcome spring.

The festivities, rich in culture and tradition, serve to pass down heritage to younger generations.

The main Nowruz events will take place at the end of March, bringing communities together to honour their cultural heritage and enjoy the spirit of unity.
