Kim Jong-un inaugurates Pyongyang apartment blocks with daughter Kim Ju-ae

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has opened a new group of apartment blocks in the capital Pyongyang.
The development comes as part of five-year construction plan that began in 2021 to expand the city.
Officials say it is the largest building programme the country have seen in years.
Kim's appearance — alongside his daughter Kim Ju-ae — at the opening on Tuesday coincided with a national holiday to mark the birthday of his late grandfather Kim Il-sung.
The "Day of the Sun" is one of the most important days of the year in North Korea, with many events held to celebrate the country's founder.
Footage of the apartment opening, which was held in the new Hwasong district on the outskirts of the city, was released by state media on Wednesday.
In February, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un led a groundbreaking ceremony in the same area.
"With the 10,000-household construction project of this year, the construction of 50,000 houses in Pyongyang City, which has been vigorously implemented since the Party Congress, has finally entered the final stage of completion," he said at the time.
