A student opened fire at a high school outside Bangkok on Friday, killing at least five people and then taking his own life, according to authorities. The 14-year-old also appeared to have killed his two grandparents at the family home earlier in the morning. Thailand has one of the highest rates of gun ownership in the region, and recent vows to tighten gun laws have not prevented repeated shootings.
