A video by Palestinian news agency Wafa shows residents of Khan Yunis rebuilding their homes with mud and other materials they managed to salvage, after enduring 13 months of Israeli bombardment in the Gaza Strip.

The UN reports 1.9 million people — almost all of Gaza’s population— has been displaced since October 2023. The conflict has caused over 43,972 deaths and 104,000 injuries, highlighting the severe humanitarian crisis faced by Gaza’s residents.
