Pianist Tom Yun reveals Chopin’s hidden creation

Discovered in New York from a collection acquired by the Morgan Library & Museum in 2019, this Chopin waltz has sparked great excitement in the music world.

Performing his rendition of the piece is Tom Yun, a piano prodigy and winner of multiple awards born in 2001.

In May, library curator Robinson McClellan uncovered a handwritten manuscript while examining archived collections. Experts are now engaged in a heated debate over its authenticity, pondering if it is an original piece by Chopin or a simple reproduction of his musical style.
