Highly mediatised femicide trial comes to a close

The Jubillar trial, a suspected-femicide case which has gripped France, is to come to a close on October 17, 2025 after the verdict comes through. Cédric Jubillar, a painter and plasterer held in detention since 2021, stands accused of murdering his wife Delphine after she asked for a divorce while having an affair with another man. Her body has never been found but investigating magistrates believe crucial elements indicate that an argument led to her death.
