Trump says did not want ‘wasted' meeting with Putin as Ukraine talks are shelved

US President Donald Trump said Tuesday his planned meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin was on hold, calling it potentially a “waste of time.” The decision to delay the Budapest talks, announced last week, followed a Monday call between Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
