Three years on, film director and videographer Vadym Adamov shares with France 24's François Picard his harrowing plight as a veteran of the brutal battle of Bakhmut: “Europe has a God-given chance to learn from Ukraine’s mistakes,” insists Adamov, now 21. On a whirlwind trip to Berlin and Paris before returning to the frontline, he fears that Europeans haven’t taken the full measure of the danger at hand.
