Major floods in southeast France cause significant damage, power cuts

Major flooding caused swathes of France’s southeast region to suffer significant damage and power outages after days of heavy rain. But the red flood alert placed on six departments was downgraded to orange on Friday – a sign the water levels are expected to come down.
