Senegal’s ruling party poised to win majority, main opposition leaders concede defeat

Senegal’s ruling party, Pastef, was on Monday on course to win a parliamentary majority in the legislative elections that were held over the weekend. The country’s main opposition leaders, including former president Macky Sall, have conceded defeat and congratulated President Bassirou Diomaye on his election victory.
