What to know as Israel and Hamas begin talks on Trump's Gaza peace plan in Egypt

Israel and Hamas began indirect talks in Egypt’s Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheikh on Monday to end the nearly two-year war in Gaza, under a peace plan proposed by US President Donald Trump.
