Canada will recognise Palestinian state at UN General Assembly, Carney says

Prime Minister Mark Carney said Canada will recognise a Palestinian state at September's UN General Assembly, making his country the third G7 nation, after France and Britain, to make such an announcement in recent days. Israel condemned the decision and US President Donald Trump on Thursday said it will make it difficult to strike a US-Canada trade deal.
