Brazil's former president Jair Bolsonaro was taken into police custody on Saturday after the Supreme Court deemed him a flight risk as the final appeals of his conviction play out. The court said he had attempted to disable his ankle monitor while under house arrest. Bolsonaro is facing 27 years in prison for plotting a coup attempt in 2022.
