South Korea ministries block access to China's DeepSeek from military devices

South Korea has restricted Chinese AI startup DeepSeek from accessing work computers across defence and trade ministries, following a request from Seoul's data watchdog to clarify data management practices. The company, known for its AI chatbot R1 launched last month, faces scrutiny over user information handling similar to concerns raised by France and Italy.
