Iran releases French pair after more than three years in detention

Iran has released two French nationals, Cécile Kohler & Jacques Paris, who were imprisoned there for more than three years on spying charges. The pair was arrested in 2022 while visiting Iran. In October, they were both given lengthy prison sentences. While the circumstances surrounding their release remain unclear, it could be the result of diplomatic manoeuvres by France.
