French authorities have warned they may block access to Shein after protests erupted over the discovery of sex dolls with a childlike appearance on the fast-fashion site.
The consumer watchdog DGCCRF said the products’ descriptions left no doubt about their child-pornographic nature and referred the case to prosecutors.
Economy Minister Roland Lescure warned Shein could be banned from the French market if it happens again.
The outcry comes just days before Shein’s planned Paris store opening, already facing backlash and a petition with over 100,000 signatures.
