Flooding in Idi Town, East Aceh Regency — Northwestern Indonesia — has destroyed public roads, shops and homes, leaving significant damage to infrastructure.

Several subdistricts remain isolated, with residents staying on higher ground amid electricity, water supply and internet outages.

Local officials say basic necessities are running out, while further assistance from provincial and central authorities is still awaited as floodwaters continue to affect parts of eastern Aceh.
