On Saturday evening in the village of Zaręby Warchoły (Andrzejewo commune), a man found the remains of a drone-like device in a field. Investigations are being conducted by the Military Police and the prosecutor's office.

Authorities reported that there was only an unoccupied house in the immediate vicinity from the site, and that no one was harmed by the object.

"The Mazovian Branch of the Military Police in Warsaw, under the supervision of a prosecutor from the Military Affairs Department of the Warsaw-Ursynów District Prosecutor's Office, is carrying out activities at the site where an unidentified aerial object was found in the village of Zaręby Warchoły, Ostrowski district," the Military Police wrote in a post on X.

Overnight from the 9th to the 10th of September, Polish airspace was violated by Russian drones during a Russian attack on Ukraine. 21 drones in total were found to have violated Polish airspace, and were shot down by Polish and allied aviation.

This was the first time in Poland's modern history that the Air Force used weaponry in the country's national airspace, and the first time that NATO airspace had been violated by Russia in such a way.

In response to this, Poland triggered NATO Article 4 called an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council for the first time. Since then, Russian drones have violated the airspace of several other NATO member states, including Denmark, Estonia and, most recently, Germany, prompting renewed discussions of an arms race, securing Europe's borders, and deterring further provocations.
