The 2025 Emmys took place last night at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater and the ceremony saw Adolescence, The Pitt and The Studio emerge as the biggest winners.

Scroll down for the full list of this year's winners.

Adolescence, the highly acclaimed Netflix show and Euronews Culture’s Top TV Show of 2025 (So Far), won Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for the young star Owen Cooper – who debuted in Adolescence.

At just 15 years old, Cooper becomes the youngest to win this award and saw off competition from the likes of Javier Bardem (Monsters: The Lyle And Erik Menendez Story), Peter Sarsgaard (Presumed Innocent) and his own Adolescence co-star Ashley Walters.

For reference, Roxana Zal remains the youngest acting winner, as she was 14 years old when she won an Emmy in 1984 for Something About Amelia.

Adolescence also won gongs for Cooper’s co-stars Stephen Graham, Erin Doherty and director Philip Barantini.

The unflinching show chronicles the story of a teenage boy arrested for the murder of a female classmate. It was widely praised not just for its writing, performances, technical brilliance - with each episode shot in one continuous take - but also for sparking vital conversations on corrosive online misogyny and social media’s grip on impressionable young minds. It led to major socio-political change in both the UK and France, as the French government has joined the UK's in deciding to show schoolchildren Adolescence.

In his acceptance speech, Cooper said: "It's just so surreal. Honestly, when I started these drama classes a couple years back, I didn't expect to be even in the United States, never mind here. So I think tonight proves that if you listen and you focus and you step out your comfort zone, you can achieve anything in life."

He added: "Who cares if you get embarrassed? Anything can be possible. I was nothing about three years ago, I'm here now."

"It shows you that any dream is possible," said Graham, who was also co-creator of the show, as he accepted his own acting prize.

The night's other big winners includes Seth Rogen's Hollywood satire The Studio, which dominated the comedy categories with prizes for directing, writing and Outstanding Actor, as well as best overall comedy series.

The Studio broke the record for the most wins by a comedy for a single series, winning 13 awards in total - nine of which were already won at last weekend's Creative Arts ceremony.

The show also made history by becoming the most awarded comedy series in a single season. It beat the previous record of 11 set by The Bear last year.

Elsewhere, medical procedural drama The Pitt – also one of Euronews Culture’s Top Shows of 2025 (So Far) - was named best drama series and earned awards in that category for its stars Noah Wyle (best actor) and Katherine LaNasa (supporting actress).

Severance star Tramell Tillman made history as the first black man to win the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, while co-star Britt Lower was named Outstanding Lead Actress in the same category.

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver picked up two prizes for variety series and outstanding scripted variety series, while The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, which was controversially cancelled earlier this year, picked up the prize for outstanding talk series.

"Sometimes you only truly know how much you love something when you get a sense that you might be losing it," Colbert told the crowd as his team cheered his name.

Colbert received a standing ovation while presenting an award earlier in the night. He joked: "While I have your attention, is anyone hiring? Because I've got 200 very well qualified candidates here with me tonight, who will be available in June."

Many perceived the end of Colbert’s show as punishment of the host and placation of President Donald Trump after Colbert was harshly critical of a legal settlement between the president and Paramount, which needed administration approval for a sale to Skydance Media.

Also noteworthy this year was a new policy for the Emmy ceremony. Host Nate Bargatze started the night by saying a $100,000 donation he was making to charity would be reduced for every speech that went over the time limit, and every short speech would add more money to the fund.

The ceremony ended with him and broadcast network CBS announcing they would donate $250,000 in total to US charity The Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
