UK protesters get creative with Trump-Epstein merch and plaques

Donald Trump has become the first US President to get a second state visit to the UK, with Trump and First Lady Melania set to be hosted by King Charles at Windsor Castle for a state banquet. But not everyone in the UK is happy to see him.

Protesters have been getting creative, planting fake merchandise featuring Trump and Jeffrey Epstein inside the Windsor Castle gift shop.

Footage posted by the UK-based collective Everyone Hates Elon shows mugs and commemorative plates bearing a photo of Trump alongside the convicted sex offender, complete with slogans like “In memory of a terrific guy” and “Never forget” emblazoned on them.

The group has claimed responsibility for the stunt on social media, joking: “We heard Prince Andrew insisted on adding this new range to the Windsor Castle Gift Shop for Trump’s arrival.”

Elsewhere, activists unfurled a supersized, 4,300 square ft photo of Trump with Epstein on the tree-lined property outside the royal residence. The massive banner display, which has since been removed, was also carried out by campaign group Everyone Hates Elon.

The group said it raised £30,000 (approx. €34,500) from the British public for the photo.

“[This image is] the last thing Trump wants the world to see,” reads a description in the online fundraiser. “So let’s put it everywhere he goes and make sure the media can’t avoid it – it’ll be the defining image of the state visit he’s so looking forward to.”

The group also installed a parody memorial plaque on a bench on Trump’s Aberdeen golf course in Scotland.

The trolling comes amid intensifying scrutiny over Trump’s relationship with Epstein, which was exacerbated last week when the United States House Oversight Committee released a doodled note supposedly penned by Trump.

“Trump’s supporters are tearing themselves apart over the Epstein files," a spokesperson for Everyone Hates Elon said in a press statement. "Now he’s hoping to escape it all to have tea with the King.”
