Madrid's Plaza de Colón on Sunday became the musical epicentre of Hispanidad 2025 with eight-time Grammy Award winner Gloria Estefan's free concert.

The massive event brought together thousands of people under a radiant sun to celebrate the diversity of the Hispanic world and the legendary Cuban-American singer's 50-year career.

"What a delight to be part of this special celebration," Estefan exclaimed as she took the stage to a thunderous ovation. From that moment on, the plaza was transformed into a dance floor with songs like 'Oye mi canto', 'Hoy' and 'La vecina', which reviewed half a century of music marked by the Latin rhythms that defined her career.

The most emotional moment came with her song 'Con los años que me quedan', when the artist invited her husband and producer, Emilio Estefan, on stage to perform one of her classics together. She also shared the microphone with her daughter Emily Estefan and the Argentinian Nathy Peluso, with whom she unleashed the euphoria of the audience when she sang the remix of 'Chirriqui Chirri'.

The flags of Cuba, Mexico, Peru, Argentina and Spain waved among a diverse audience that chanted every verse. Among those in attendance was Madrid City President Isabel Díaz Ayuso, who greeted the singer before the concert. The recital culminated with 'Cuba libre', with which Estefan paid tribute to her roots and the role of immigrants in the common history of the Hispanic world.

The show, one of the central events of the fifth edition of Hispanidad, was held under the slogan "All Spanish accents fit in Madrid", which the artist made her own with a final ovation that united thousands of voices in the same language.
