The UN Security Council met in New York on Monday to discuss the violence in Sudan, where civilians are increasingly caught in the crossfire. This is particularly the case since Friday in the state of al-Jazira, which had until now been relatively spared from the violence. RSF paramilitaries ran riot there, killing more than 120 people in one town alone, according to Sudan's health minister.
