Israel to deport intercepted flotilla activists, including Greta Thunberg, to Europe

Israel said Thursday it would begin deportation proceedings for activists aboard 19 vessels from the Gaza aid flotilla that it intercepted a day earlier, once the ships reach port. The other 30 boats in the Global Sumud Flotilla are still sailing toward Gaza, organisers said. The detained activists – including Swedish rights and environmental campaigner Greta Thunberg – are set to be sent back to Europe.
