Israel's army said Saturday (October 4) that it would advance preparations for the first phase of US President Donald Trump's plan to end the war in Gaza. US President called to halt bombardments following Hamas's acceptance of some elements of his plan. But Israel launched air strikes on Gaza City overnight, Gaza’s civil defence agency said. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the nation late on Saturday and said Hamas would be disarmed either by “Trump’s plan” or by military means. He also said that he hoped to bring back all hostages being held in Gaza “in the coming days”.
