Two weeks after Hurricane Helene devastated Florida and caused widespread devastation across the southeastern US states, killing more than 200 people, a new study found that climate change intensified the storm's rain and winds. Fossil fuels also increased the frequency of such devastating hurricanes, said the World Weather Attribution study.
